Welcome to MyBB Education cic.

We work in close partnership with MyBookbasket in order to develop and run culturally sensitive and dynamic educational programmes for children, young people and adults with the goal of increasing appreciation and knowledge of African diasporic literature, well-being and culture.

There are a range of ways you can support and benefit from this important work and over the coming weeks and months we will fill you in on how you and your family can get involved.

What are we doing for Black History Month?

We believe in celebrating the richness of African diasporan history every month of the year. In October, like every month, we work with MyBookbasket to ensure a great range of books and resources covering many topics. We are also busy going out to spread the word to organisations such as Barclays and Cadburys amongst others. Closer to home we will be restarting our Oware Club and Storytime sessions. Click on the highlighted links for more information about how to book your place. Would you like us to come out to your school or event? Contact us by email: contact@mybookbasket.com or phone 07592345276. We can:

  • have a book or resources display
  • deliver a storytime session with Aunty BB
  • talk about the importance of Black History
  • deliver Oware teaching and playing sessions
  • deliver adult sessions on literature and or creative writing
  • deliver book club sessions for children, teens or adults
  • deliver natural well-being sessions

This is just a short list of what we can offer! Give us a ring for more information.

Windrush Conversations

Join with us in three celebration events to consider and acknowledge Caribbean Legacy in the UK. Three evenings or afternoons of story sharing, songs, music, poetry, quizzes for all the family.
