The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah - Review by Anntoinette
Can I just say brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, I could barely put the book down. The author made me feel like I knew the characters, whilst leaving me in suspense and shock as the characters further unveil themselves.
Winter the main character who was bold, strong and independent didn't disappoint. However, I did find myself screaming and wanting her to make better choices.
The topics throughout the novel are still very relevant and need addressing. Although I didn't like the author putting herself in the novel I applaud the way she debates the issues within the black community as being singular and looking out for themselves. I feel that these need to be addressed in our community.
Fantastic read. Can not wait to hear other's views tomorrow.
